Event Details
The Last Stand Quartet — featuring National Symphony Orchestra players — joins pianist Natalia Kazaryan for a piano trio, quartet and quintet program exploring rich musical textures.
Jennifer Higdon’s Piano Trio No. 1, Pale Yellow opens the evening with bright, shimmering tones that evoke vivid, glowing hues. Schumann’s passionate Piano Quartet in E-flat Major follows, before the program concludes with Amy Beach’s Piano Quintet, whose sweeping melodies ride on lush harmonies.
