Counterpoint collaborative partners clarinetist Zachary Good of Eighth Blackbird fame and internationally-recognized violinist Elizabeth Fayette join pianist and founder Natalia Kazaryan for a colorful and vibrant concert of music for violin, clarinet, and piano. The program includes several hidden gems, including trios by Aram Khachaturian and the unsung Russian composer Galina Ustolvkata, as well as familiar favorites in Bartók’s Contrasts and Bernstein’s clarinet sonata, programmed alongside wonderfully evocative contemporary works by the American composers Carlos Simon and Alvin Singleton.
